Painting instructions for Into Interior Primer. Into Interior Primer is suited to unpainted or previously painted interior wood, board and stone surfaces, such as walls, ceilings, panelling, doors, architraves, skirting boards and furniture in dry spaces. The product is not suited to priming floors, nor is it used with translucent paints and other such treatment agents. Into Primer can be used with Into Interior Paint, Into Furniture Paint and Uula Door and Window Paint. Into Primer is pleasant to use since it is odorless, it dries fast and can be re-painted quickly. The primer improves the absorption and adhesion of the top coat and makes it easier to paint the top coat. Into Primer can also be used as matt interior paint.
Stir the paint well before use and during painting. Reserve and mix enough paint for a large surface to avoid potential colour variation in different batches. Paint a test patch to ensure the colour is correct. Please note that the paint attains its true colour once dry. Protect any surfaces not to be painted with adhesive tape, paper, cardboard or protective film. Surfaces primed with Into Primer can be levelled with fillers and putties suited to the material in question.
Application & Conditions & Painting Instructions
We recommend using a roller or a paint brush depending on the surface material and structure. The surface to be painted must be dry, the relative air humidity below 80 % and the temperature at least +10°C. The painted surface is touch dry in approx. 30 minutes and ready for a re-coat in 4 hours. If the painted surface is particularly porous, such as fibre board, the primer can be thinned by 15 % with water
Preparation: Brush the surface of dust. Wash dirty surfaces with Uula Washing Agent following the instructions. Allow to dry thoroughly before painting.
Priming: Level all cracks and holes with filler if necessary. Remove sanding dust and clean the surface before painting. Prime new surfaces with iNTO Primer.
Finishing: Paint the top coat with your chosen paint. Treat all painted surfaces with care during the first month. Clean the surface with soft cloths and sponges that do not scratch the surface. Use only neutral washing agents. Rinse the surfaces carefully.
Coverage: approx. 7 m2/L depending on the roughness and porosity of the surface.
Cleaning of equipment: Clean the equipment with soap and water straight after you have finished painting.
Storage and disposal: Keep in a cool and dry place. Do not allow to freeze. Dry and empty containers can be recycled. Liquid waste must be taken to a municipal hazardous waste collection point.
